In April 2008, Ocean Elements application to become a Go ECO Operator was approved by the Project AWARE Foundation! As a Go ECO Operator, we aspire to implement environmetal best practices where we operate and to educate our divers to be environmentally responsible. By following the guidelines below, we hope to minimise our divers' impact on the aquatic ecosystem where we dive whilst contributing to environmental, economic and cultural conservation.
Join us diving today, and be an ECO Diver!
The GO ECO OPERATOR GUIDELINES:
As an ECO Operator, we will... - Provide dive experiences that enhance our divers' and dive trip participants' awareness, appreciation and understanding of the local aquatic environment.
- Use recycled products whenever possible.
- Participate in local conservation efforts and support any established marine parks.
- Not sell items made from endangered or threatened species, corals or tropical hardwoods.
